Shipping policy

1. Scope of Service

Karaé Crumb provides shipping services exclusively within the Republic of South Africa. We do not facilitate international orders or cross-border logistics at this time. By placing an order through this platform, the customer acknowledges that the delivery address must be situated within South African borders.

2. Production and Fulfillment Timeline

Every order is handcrafted and baked to order to maintain the integrity of our luxury gourmet standards. The standard production period for all items is between one and three business days. This timeframe covers the preparation, baking, and specialized packaging of the products. Please note that the production window excludes weekends and public holidays.

3. Transit and Delivery Estimates

Once the fulfillment process is complete and the order has been dispatched from our facility, the transit period begins. Local delivery within South Africa typically ranges from three to seven business days. While we strive to ensure timely arrival, these transit times are estimates provided by our third-party courier partners and are subject to their operational schedules.

4. Delivery Requirements and Limitations

To ensure the successful handoff of our perishable goods, a complete and accurate physical street address is required for every order. We cannot facilitate deliveries to P.O. Boxes, Private Bags, or Postnet Suites. The customer bears the responsibility of providing a valid delivery address where a recipient will be available during standard business hours to sign for the package.

5. Tracking and Order Monitoring

Upon the dispatch of an order, a formal notification will be issued via email containing the relevant tracking credentials. It is the responsibility of the customer to monitor the progress of their shipment using the provided tracking link. Any concerns regarding the location of a package in transit should be directed to the courier service using the reference number provided.

6. Perishable Nature and Handling

Given the perishable nature of our products, Karaé Crumb emphasizes the importance of immediate collection upon delivery. We are not liable for the degradation of product quality due to delayed collection or unsuccessful delivery attempts where the recipient was unavailable. Should a package be returned to our facility after failed delivery attempts, the customer will be responsible for the costs associated with a secondary dispatch.

7. Delivery Discrepancies and Damage

We take immense pride in our packaging standards to ensure your order arrives in pristine condition. However, if a shipment arrives with significant external damage that affects the contents, the customer must document the condition of the package and contact our support team within twenty-four hours of receipt. Detailed photographic evidence of the unopened packaging and the damaged goods is required for a formal assessment.

8. Force Majeure and External Delays

Karaé Crumb shall not be held liable for delays in delivery resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to, extreme weather conditions, national strike actions, civil unrest, or significant logistical disruptions caused by regional infrastructure challenges. We appreciate your professional understanding as we work to navigate such variables.
